Sugar House
The best after-dinner bar I know—dark, artful, and pure Corktown atmosphere.
If I could design a bar, it would look something like Sugar House: taxidermy, dark wood, an antique mirrored bar, and low light. The bartenders are among the best I’ve encountered in Detroit, the cocktails feel artful, and the bourbon list runs deep.
Come after dinner, settle in with friends, and order something spirit-forward over one big cube. Then talk about how great dinner was and why you don’t come to Corktown more often.
Dinner is over but the night deserves a proper second act.
