Michigan & Trumbull
Michigan & Trumbull lost its ideal Corktown home. It did not lose the pizza. This is top-tier Detroit-style, period.
A couple brought this joint to Detroit from Pittsburgh—sorry, Pittsburgh—and built a pizza that belongs near the top of any serious Detroit-style list. The Corktown space was ideal; the new location is off the beaten path and does not have the same pull. None of that changes what matters: the pizza is excellent.
Make the trip, order a square, and don’t wing it if you want to dine in.
You want top-tier Detroit-style pizza and do not mind going off the beaten path for it.
You care more about location and atmosphere than what is coming out of the oven, or you want a reliably quiet room.
