Leña
Skip the chef’s table and order à la carte; the room, cocktails, and phenomenal Spanish wine list are where Leña won me back.
I went on a date when Leña first opened and made the mistake of doing the chef’s table, which left a lot to be desired. The food coming out to the rest of the room looked amazing, though. The bartender was good, the drinks were great, and the Spanish wine selection—especially the whites—was phenomenal.
Order à la carte, ask the bartender for an Albariño, and use Bodega across the street as the easy opening drink.
You want a Brush Park date, a pregame dinner, or a Spanish-wine night with friends.
You are set on the chef’s table or want an unqualified tasting-menu recommendation from me.
