Unequivocally the most beautifully designed bar in Detroit—and a top-three choice for a date, happy hour, nightcap, or showing off the city.
I love Kamper’s. The drinks are next level, the bartenders know their stuff, and the patio view is second to none. Old-school hip-hop and a house Old Fashioned won me over fast. It can be difficult to get in, but the room on the 14th floor of Book Tower is worth the effort.
Check in with the host, head to the 14th floor, order the house Old Fashioned if it is still offered, and get outside for the view.
