Hamilton's Restaurant
The rare hotel restaurant that blows past the category: a beautiful room, excellent staff, consistently impressive food, and a monster chicken Parmesan.
Hamilton’s was a huge surprise. I expected another good-looking hotel restaurant and bar with food that merely did the job, and I was completely wrong. After two dinners and a brunch, I have been impressed every time. The décor is second to none, the staff has always been awesome, and wow—that chicken Parmesan is friggin’ huge. This is not a hotel fallback. It is a restaurant worth choosing.
Order the chicken Parmesan, then walk to Ottava Via for Italian wine. If you want less polish, choose a dive along Michigan Avenue and keep the night moving.
You want an impressive room, genuinely good hotel dining, a strong brunch, or a polished Corktown meal that can roll into drinks.
You want a tiny, light plate or a restaurant that keeps a low profile.
